Ultraflex HP pigtails are constructed with a helical close-corrugation 316 stainless steel core, insuring high-purity, zero effusion, and excellent flexibility. Two stainless steel braids provide extremely high working pressure—4250 PSI MAWP with a 4:1 safety factor. Welded end connections are constructed using 316 stainless steel. Optional stainless steel armor is flexible and streamline, enhancing kink resistance, braid protection, and anti-whip protection.
Each Ultraflex HP assembly is permanently marked with manufacturer, pressure rating, and date of manufacture-- meeting CGA requirements, providing easy identification, and promoting safety. These pigtails are ideal for small molecule gases such as helium and hydrogen that may effuse through the walls of other types of pigtails. The inherent properties of 316 stainless steel also are ideal for specialty gas applications. Consider Ultraflex HP for permanent on-site installations in connection to distribution and switch-over manifolds*. Each pigtail assembly is pressure tested at 150% of the rated working pressure using nitrogen under water. Optional testing can include mass spectrometer helium leak tests using customer specifications.
End fitting options are male NPT, female NPT, compression tube, or face seal (male or female). Assemblies can be cleaned for oxygen service to meet CGA specification G-4.1. Cleaned pigtails will be capped and packaged in clear bags with “oxygen clean” certification cards. CGA nuts, nipples, check-valve nipples, hand-tight nuts, elbows, or distance pieces may be specified to be installed on the assemblies. * Note: Due to the damaging effects of high velocity gases on the corrugated innercore, metallic core hose in not recommended for cylinder filling applications.
