DESCRIPTION

CERTI-SHINE FUSION is an advanced, modified silicate concrete repair treatment for Certi-Shine polished concrete floors. Certi-Shine Fusion will repair small air holes, aggregate pop-outs, voids, micro cracks, small spider cracks and similar surface imperfections. While other types of repair materials become brittle and discolor the surface leaving it blotchy looking, Certi-Shine Fusion repairs and blends into the existing color of the concrete yielding a consistent, natural looking floor. Grinding and honing can continue one hour after application due to special accelerators and wetting agents which quickly react with the residual cement and calcium hydroxide in the grind powder. The product is completely compatible with all Certi-Shine polishing systems and extends the gloss and clarity yielding a consistent, natural looking floor.

APPLICATION

• Prior to using Certi-Shine Fusion, apply Certi-Shine Fusion Release, product data sheet # OP230, to the bottom of the grinder and to each set of diamonds being used to install Certi-Shine Fusion. IMPORTANT NOTE: Test area must be done on the floor prior to proceeding. Floor with large amounts of aggregate and less cement paste might not react properly with Fusion. Please contact Vexcon technical service for recommendation for the individual floor.
• Spray or apply a puddle of Certi-Shine Fusion onto the dry floor evenly in front of grinder @ 50-80grit metal diamonds in quantity which forms a slurry as grinding continues.
• After using Certi-Shine Fusion while grinding in both directions 90° make sure that you have ground the concrete dry without wet slurry or ridges. Concrete should be allowed to dry for a minimum of one hour. Lightly wash the concrete and vacuum or squeegee dry. This will allow you to examine the floor for any remaining holes or voids, etc.
• Follow instructions for the application and cleaning above.
• Typically the existing holes, scratches etc. and any new ones created by grinding @ 100-120 grit will be filled.

TREATING LARGER CRACKS, BUGHOLES OR POPOUTS

1. Collect grinding powder from initial opening grinds and save for Certi-Shine Fusion LG

HONING

• If Certi-Shine Clear is being applied, polish at 200 grit resin diamonds.
• After 200 grit apply Certi-Shine Clear per standard instructions

100-150 sq.ft./gal. based on porosity of concrete

SPECIAL NOTES /LIMITATIONS

• Best results when applied at 50-800 F (10-270 C) slab temperature
• Cure time will be extended at lower temperatures
• Keep from freezing
• Do not wet grind or polish until Certi-Shine Fusion has cured overnight
• Dry grinding, honing and polishing after 1 hour
