Details

The 3-flute end mill is a special design that allows for a smoother cutting action than 2-flute end mills. Having fewer flutes than multi-flute end mills allows for more space in between the fluts. 3-flute end mills often produce an acceptable finish in many roughing applications. Faster feed rates can be used. 3-flute end mills are excellent for slotting applications.
